I was raised on the south shore of Massachusetts in a town with five beaches, eight churches, and one rare animal farm. I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and now live in Nashville, where I'm a graduate fellow in Vanderbilt’s MFA program. I facilitate writing workshops for individuals impacted by cancer in conjunction with the Vanderbilt-Ingram cancer center, and teach creative writing in the Metro Nashville Public Schools. I’ve received scholarships from the Juniper Summer Writing Institute, the Squaw Valley Community of Writers, and the Sewanee Writers’ Conference. This summer I’ll be an Emerging Writer Fellow at Aspen Words.
